Stop two events landing in the same room

The double-booking you find out about on the morning of the event is the expensive one. 1pm now catches it when you confirm, not when the second client arrives.

A check at confirmation

When you move an event to a confirmed (or held) status, 1pm looks for anything else holding the same space over the same time and blocks the clash before it’s booked. Tentative and firmer bookings count as holds, so a soft pencil still warns you.

Rooms that genuinely run two at once

Some spaces really do host two things at once: a ballroom split down the middle, a long room with a stage at each end. Turn on “allow concurrent” for that space and the overlap is permitted, but only when the two events sit in different zones. The room can run two events; it can’t run two events in the same corner of it.
