Two new ways to get leads in

Two things landed on the way into the Leads pipeline.

One form, every lead type

If you run several lead types, each had its own snippet, and pasting all of them meant building your own page of links to route visitors between them. Most people pasted one and lost the routing, so every lead arrived on one type and the reply templates, terms and automations attached to the others never fired.

The combined form is one link and one snippet. The visitor picks what their enquiry is about from a dropdown and the real form for that lead type loads underneath. The lead is written against that form, so everything downstream behaves exactly as it did.

Nothing is preselected, and fields only appear once they have chosen, so a lead cannot arrive on the wrong lead type unnoticed. It is a picker rather than conditional logic on purpose: the branch is already a lead type you built, so there is no second set of rules to keep in step with the forms.

Import a backlog from a CSV

Moving in from a spreadsheet, another CRM, or a shared inbox somebody has been tracking leads in no longer means retyping it. Import sits beside Add lead on the Leads page. Download the template, fill it in, upload it, and you get one lead per row.

Nothing is emailed. No acknowledgement, no automations, nobody in the file is contacted. An imported file is usually history, and sending two hundred people a “thanks for your lead” about something they asked six months ago would be a bad afternoon.

Rows carry the essentials: name, company, email, phone, event date, guest count, event type, their message and the lead type. A row whose email matches an existing contact links to it and takes their details from the contact record. Dates are read day first and never month first, and anything unrecognised is rejected rather than guessed at, because a pipeline silently moved to the wrong day is the kind of thing you find out about weeks later. A row is a duplicate only when the email, the date and the lead type all match a lead you already have, so re-uploading the same file is safe and the same client enquiring twice stays two leads.

The results card counts what imported, what was skipped as a duplicate, and what had errors, with the line number and reason for each so you can fix the file and go again.
