Appointment reminders that carry the video link

Tastings, site visits and client calls are appointments in 1pm, and the reminder before one is what gets people there. Three changes make those reminders easier to trust.

The link in the reminder

A reminder email now takes a [video link] field. On a video appointment it prints “Link to join:” and the meeting link. On a phone call or an in-person visit it prints nothing, and its line disappears with it, so one reminder works for every kind of appointment. New reminders include it already.

In the appointment form, Copy link sits beside the video link and Copy email address under the contact, for when you want to send either on by hand.

See what will send

An automation’s Show upcoming panel already listed what it would send before an event. It now does the same for X minutes before an appointment: each booked appointment, the date and time its reminder goes, and who it goes to. A reminder that can’t send says why, usually a Space with no contact or an appointment with no client.

Open it where you are

Clicking an appointment on the Events page used to jump you to the Calendar. It now opens the appointment in place, so you can add a video link, move the time or cancel it without losing your spot in the list.
