Get a PDF signed, or ask for a date
Plenty of the paperwork around an event already exists as a PDF. A contractor agreement, a photography release, a venue’s house rules, an NDA. Getting it signed meant emailing it out, waiting for a scan to come back, and filing it somewhere you would remember.
Now it is one more request on the same link as everything else.
Sign PDF
In an event’s or a Portal’s Requests panel, pick Sign PDF, give it a name and upload the PDF. The person opens it on their link, ticks that they have read and agree, types their name, draws a signature and taps Sign.
1pm records who signed, when, from which IP address and browser, and the exact PDF they signed, with its SHA-256 fingerprint. Download signed copy gives you the original with a signature page added at the end. The person can download the same copy from their link.
If you upload a new version later, everyone who signed keeps their signature and the file they actually signed. The request names who signed an earlier version and gives you a button to ask each of them to sign the current one.
A Sign PDF request can go in a request pack too. When you add the pack, 1pm copies the PDF onto the event, so editing the library file later never changes a document someone is signing.
Date
The other new kind asks for one date: a date of birth, a start date, a visa expiry. The person picks it from their phone’s date picker, so there is no format to get wrong. Under Dates accepted, limit it to Today or earlier or Today or later where only one makes sense.
Asking someone to sign a PDF covers the signing side in full.
