Choose who a request is asked of: crew, client, or both

Some requests are for the crew (a public liability certificate, a dietary), some are for the client (a song list, the final numbers), and some are for everyone. Every request on a booking now says which.

Asked of

Each request has an Asked of setting: Crew, Client, or Crew and client. It’s on the form when you add a request, and on each request in the booking’s Requests list. If you call your crew something else, such as Suppliers, the setting uses your word.

A new request starts on Client when the booking has a Client contact and nobody else has a link to it, such as a photographer’s couple. Otherwise it starts on Crew. You can change it either way.

What the setting decides

The client sees, owes and is reminded about exactly the requests asked of the client. Crew get exactly the ones asked of crew. That carries through everywhere requests are counted: the progress bar on their link, reminders and overdue chases, Waiting on, the dashboards and reports, and a contact’s Requests tab. A client is never chased for a crew member’s trade licence, and a required question asked of the client is chased like any other.

In request packs

A question in a request pack can be set to Crew, Client, Crew and client, or Same as the booking, which picks the starting value the same way when you add the pack.

Requesting documents and info covers requests in full.
