An email signature on your first reply to a lead

The first reply a lead gets is the one that decides whether they call you back. It carries your availability, your quote, maybe a brochure. Until now it ended wherever your reply template ended, and the logo, the phone number and the job title were whatever you remembered to paste in.

Built like a proposal

Leads, then Email signature, just under Reply templates. It uses the same blocks as a proposal template: Logo (from your branding), Text, Image, Button and Divider. The preview shows it at the end of a sample reply, the way the email will carry it. Your edits save as a draft and replies pick it up when you click Publish signature.

There is one signature per account, shared by your team, but it still signs as the right person. Type [your name] and [job title] in a Text block and each reply fills in whoever sent it. Everyone sets their own on their Profile, under Your name. An Auto Reply signs with the account owner’s name.

1pm builds the email version from plain tables, the layout email programs reliably display, rather than the web page styling a proposal uses.

First reply only

The signature goes on the first reply to each lead: a reply you write in the thread, a quote you send, or an Auto Reply. Later replies go without it, the same way your own email program leaves the signature off a long back-and-forth.

When it is about to be added, a chip under the message box says Adds your email signature to the end of this reply. Click its cross to send that one without it. In the thread, a signed reply folds the signature under an Email signature line.

During the free trial, buttons and web addresses are left out of the signature. Phone numbers and email addresses still show.

One tidy-up: if your reply templates end with a sign-off and contact details, take them out, or the first reply shows them twice.

Your email signature covers it in full.
