Set up for how Australian businesses work

Quotes and invoices in Australian dollars

Set your account currency to AUD once. Every quote, confirmation, invoice and payment email then shows Australian dollars, whatever country your client opens it in.

Setting your account currency

GST and your ABN on every tax invoice

A new account starts with a GST rate of 10% as the default. Choose whether the prices you type are GST inclusive or exclusive, add your ABN, and title your invoices "Tax Invoice".

Invoice numbering and tax defaults

Invoices and payments sent to Xero

Connect your Xero organisation and 1pm sends each invoice across itemised, with your accounts and tax rates mapped, then the payments against it. The sync runs one way, from 1pm to Xero.

Sending invoices to Xero

Deposits by bank transfer or card

Put your BSB and account number on your quotes, confirmations and invoices, so a client can pay a deposit by transfer with no card fee. Card payments run through your own Stripe account.

Call it a function and a runsheet

Rename the run of show to "runsheet" for your whole account, along with events, crew and spaces. Your team, your clients and your suppliers then read the words you already use.

Times are the time at the venue

A 6:30 pm start in Perth reads 6:30 pm to a supplier opening the runsheet in Sydney. Set your account to your own time zone and 1pm knows which day is today for you.

From the enquiry to the paid function

A function enquiry usually goes to three or four venues or suppliers at once, and the first useful reply tends to win it. Put the 1pm form on your website and each enquiry lands in your Leads inbox with the date, the guest numbers and the message filled in. 1pm can check the date is free and reply with a priced quote and your brochure while you are on the floor.

The client opens one private link to adjust the numbers, accept the quote, agree to your terms and pay the deposit. The booking then carries everything the day needs: the BEO for the kitchen, the menu, the supplier paperwork, and a live runsheet each crew member opens on their phone with no login.

Questions Australian businesses ask

Is 1pm an Australian company?

Yes. 1pm is made by WorkZerk PTY Ltd (ABN 72 163 622 508), based in Herston, Brisbane. It is built and supported from Brisbane.

When can I reach support?

Support is open 9am to 5pm, 7 days a week, Brisbane time (AEST). Brisbane does not observe daylight saving, so in summer that is 10am to 6pm in Sydney and Melbourne.

Is the 1pm subscription priced in Australian dollars?

No. Plans are priced in US dollars: $20 a month for Professional and $40 a month for Hospitality, charged to your card by Stripe. GST is added at checkout for Australian customers, and you receive a tax invoice you can claim it on. The quotes and invoices you send your own clients are separate, and those are in Australian dollars once you set your account currency to AUD.

Does 1pm handle GST on my quotes and invoices?

Yes. Your account starts with a GST rate of 10% set as the default for new lines. You choose whether the prices you type include GST or have it added, and you can change the rate, or remove tax, on any single line.

Does 1pm work with Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks?

1pm connects to Xero. It sends your invoices and their payments to Xero, one way, with your accounts and tax rates mapped. It does not connect to MYOB or QuickBooks.

Where is my data stored?

On Microsoft Azure, in regions that include Australia East (Sydney) and East US. The privacy policy has the detail.

Can I call it a function sheet or a runsheet instead of a BEO or a run of show?

You can rename the run of show to "runsheet", or to your own word, for your whole account, and the same goes for events, crew and spaces. The BEO keeps its name.

How does 1pm compare with iVvy?

1pm is the lighter of the two and self-serve: you sign up, try the whole product for 30 days and pay a published monthly price, with no sales call. iVvy goes further for hotels and venue groups, with sleeping rooms, floor plans, point of sale links and a marketplace.
