1pm vs iVvy.
An honest comparison for anyone looking for a iVvy alternative. We make 1pm, so read it knowing that. Everything said about iVvy comes from its own website and help centre, checked in October 2026, and the sources are listed at the foot of the page.
The short version
iVvy is an Australian event and venue management system, founded on the Gold Coast, with offices in Australia, South Africa, the USA and the UK. It is built for hotels, hospitality groups, function centres and stadiums, and its depth shows there: function space and sleeping rooms in one diary, more than fifty integrations, a marketplace with live availability, and a full ticketing product.
1pm is an event booking CRM made in Brisbane for event professionals and venues. It covers the lead, the quote, the agreement, the deposit and the invoice, then runs the day on a live BEO and a live runsheet. It is the lighter of the two by design: a published monthly price, no sales call, and an account you set up yourself.

Where 1pm is stronger
- The first reply, sent for you
- 1pm can check the date, build a priced quote from your catalogue and send it with your brochure while you are on the floor. iVvy's AI prepares a proposal and leaves the sending to your team.
- A runsheet nobody logs in to
- Each crew member and supplier gets a private link filtered to their own items, with no account, and it still opens when the wifi drops. iVvy describes run sheets that staff log in to.
- A price on the website
- $20 or $40 a month (US dollars), published, with a 30-day trial and no card. iVvy quotes each venue individually.
- Set up without a project
- Sign up and send your first quote the same day. There is no demo, no onboarding fee and no implementation to schedule.
- Event professionals as well as venues
- iVvy is sold to venues. 1pm is also built for the caterer, planner, photographer or celebrant who works in a different venue every week.
- Recipe and plate costing
- Plate cost, food cost percentage and margin for each dish, on the Hospitality plan. We did not find recipe costing on iVvy's site.
How to choose
Choose iVvy if you run a hotel, a group of venues or a large function centre, and you need sleeping rooms, point of sale and property system links, a marketplace listing or ticketing in the same system. 1pm does none of those.
Choose 1pm if you are an independent event venue, a restaurant with function rooms, or an event professional (photographer, AV etc.), and you want to answer enquiries faster, take the deposit online and share one live runsheet, at a monthly price you can see before you sign up.
The quickest test is to put one real booking through 1pm. The trial has every feature switched on, so you will know within a week whether it fits.
